Bratislava launches new Economic Dashboard to track city development

The city of Bratislava has launched a new Economic Dashboard designed to provide a unified view of the city's socio-economic development. Developed as part of an economic development program in collaboration with Bloomberg Associates, the tool aggregates nearly 70 key indicators.

The dashboard covers various sectors, including the economy, labor market, business environment, innovation, education, real estate, and tourism. Mayor Matúš Vallo stated that the collection and evaluation of such data are essential for making high-quality decisions regarding job opportunities, education, and housing.

Data from the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic highlights the region's economic importance, noting that the Bratislava region generates 28 percent of the national GDP. The city's nominal labor productivity has reached 76,300 euros per capita, representing a 5.2 percent year-on-year increase. This productivity level surpasses cities such as Tallinn, Krakow, and Brno, approaching the levels seen in Prague. Additionally, the city remains a hub for talent, hosting over 8,000 international students and employing more than 130,000 highly qualified professionals.
