Bratislava mayoral race shows tight competition between Vallo and Ráž
A recent election poll for the Bratislava mayoral seat indicates a highly competitive race between incumbent Matúš Vallo and independent candidate Jozef Ráž. While Vallo holds a lead with 49.3 percent of decided voters, Ráž follows closely at 42.3 percent. Due to overlapping confidence intervals, the poll cannot statistically guarantee a definitive lead for Vallo.
The voter base is sharply polarized. Vallo maintains strength among voters under 50 and those with higher education levels, drawing support from coalitions including Team Bratislava, Progressive Slovakia, SaS, and Democrats. In contrast, Ráž finds significant support among voters over 50 and those with lower education levels.
With 18.4 percent of respondents undecided and 7.4 percent planning not to vote, the final outcome remains uncertain. Other candidates, including Zuzana Šubová and Ľubomír Geci, hold minimal shares of the vote.
