Bratislava playground accident: Tree branches injure three children

On the evening of Tuesday, September 8, 2026, large branches from a tree fell onto a children's playground on Kulíšková Street in the Ružinov district of Bratislava.

At the time of the incident, ten children were playing on the playground. Three children sustained light injuries and were transported to the hospital for medical treatment.

Police have launched a criminal investigation into the incident under suspicion of committing the crime of public endangerment. Authorities are currently investigating whether sufficient safety measures were taken regarding the trees located within the playground area.
