Bratislava police detain three Polish suspects in fatal Krakow assault
Bratislava police have detained three Polish nationals suspected of involvement in a fatal assault that occurred in Krakow, Poland. The incident took place in the Nowa Huta district during the night of August 20 to 21, where a 36-year-old man was attacked and subsequently died from his injuries.
Following an intelligence-led operation, Slovak authorities located and apprehended the suspects in an apartment on Šustekova Street in the Petržalka district of Bratislava. The arrest was carried out by the Bratislava Regional Criminal Police with assistance from the Emergency Police Unit.
According to police spokesperson Michal Szeiff, two of the men were subjects of an international search for extradition by Krakow authorities, while the third individual was identified as a missing minor. The suspects have been transferred to the appropriate police department for further processing and handover to Polish investigators.
