Bratislava to open first 24-hour pharmacy in September

The Bratislava Self-Governing Region (BSK) will establish a 24-hour pharmacy starting September 1. The project is a collaboration with the Faculty of Pharmacy at Comenius University in Bratislava.

Located on Ružinovská Street in a building adjacent to the Ružinov Polyclinic, the pharmacy will operate continuously seven days a week, including weekends and holidays. The BSK will provide subsidies for the operation.

In addition to standard medication access, the Faculty of Pharmacy will provide professional expertise and expanded pharmaceutical services. The initiative aims to address the need for medication outside of standard operating hours, specifically for patients treated at emergency departments or those requiring urgent prescriptions late at night.
