Nuremberg and Braunau police conduct major drug and assault investigations

Police in Nuremberg and Braunau have conducted significant operations targeting drug trafficking and sexual violence. In Nuremberg, the special commission ‘Kajal’ has arrested several individuals in connection with sexual assaults and drug distribution targeting minors near the main station. This includes the arrest of two suspects accused of raping a 14-year-old girl and a 29-year-old man for repeatedly providing drugs to minors.

In the Braunau district of Austria, authorities uncovered a professional cannabis plantation during a raid. Investigators found approximately 25 kilograms of marijuana produced over recent months, along with synthetic drugs, weapons, and evidence of a room used for producing pornographic content. The investigation led to six arrests and the removal of several children from homes due to severe child welfare risks. Authorities are also investigating a larger network of drug suppliers linked to the operation.
