Brave & Maiden Estate showcases Santa Ynez Valley wines

Brave & Maiden Estate, located in the Santa Ynez Valley, features a diverse lineup of wines including Sauvignon Blanc, Grenache, Syrah, and various Bordeaux blends such as the ‘Bequest’ Cabernet Sauvignon.

The region's climate is influenced by the ‘Lompoc Vortex,’ a phenomenon where Pacific chill is pulled inland through Lompoc. This airflow helps ripen Bordeaux varieties in the Santa Ynez area, preventing the green flavors often associated with cooler coastal climates.

Winemaker Wynne Sargeant leads the production at Brave & Maiden. She previously worked at Peake Ranch, Stephen Ross, and Melville, bringing experience in developing Pinot Noir and Chardonnay on the Central Coast.
