Bravis hospital construction planned for Roosendaal

A new Bravis hospital is being planned for the west side of Roosendaal, at De Bulkenaar, to replace the current facilities in Bergen op Zoom and Roosendaal. Construction is set to begin soon, with an expected opening in 2030.

During a recent information market, visitors were shown plans for the hospital and its surrounding landscape park. The relocation will impact residents in Zeeland, specifically those in Tholen and parts of Reimerswaal, who may face an additional five to ten minutes of travel time compared to the current Bergen op Zoom location.

Bravis administrator Albert-Jan Mante noted that not all services will move; some specialized outpatient clinics and examinations will remain at the Bergen op Zoom site. However, intensive care, emergency services, and surgical operations will be concentrated at the new facility.
