Braze stock falls despite beating quarterly earnings estimates
Braze shares fell by more than 5% on Tuesday following the release of its second-quarter fiscal 2027 results. Despite the stock decline, the customer engagement software developer exceeded analyst expectations for both revenue and earnings per share.
The company reported revenue of approximately $227 million, a 26% increase year-over-year, and an adjusted net income of $0.19 per share. While these figures surpassed consensus estimates, investor reaction was driven by future guidance. Braze projected third-quarter adjusted earnings between $0.13 and $0.14 per share, which fell below the $0.16 expected by analysts.
In recent weeks, company executives also engaged in stock sales. CTO Jonathan Hyman sold 42,000 shares in late August, and CRO Edward Mcdonnell sold 29,732 shares, according to SEC filings.
