Brazil 2026 presidential election candidates and polling

Brazil is preparing for the 2026 general elections, scheduled for October 4. Voters will use electronic voting terminals to elect the president and vice president for a four-year term. If no candidate secures more than 50% of the vote in the first round, a runoff election will be held.

According to a recent poll by the Nexus Institute, the leader of the Workers' Party holds 39% of voter intentions, followed by right-wing representative Flávio Bolsonaro at 33%. Psychiatrist Augusto Cury has emerged as an outsider candidate, rising to 11% in the latest survey. Other candidates include Ronaldo Caiado with 5%, Renan Santos with 3%, and Romeu Zema with 1%.
