Brazil accounting councils hold training on tax reform

Accounting councils in Brazil are conducting specialized training sessions to prepare professionals for the country's upcoming tax reform.

In Araguaína, Tocantins, the Regional Accounting Council of Tocantins (CRCTO) hosted the “A Nova Ordem Tributária” event. The seminar gathered over 70 participants, including accountants, entrepreneurs, and managers, to discuss the impacts and strategic challenges of the new tax system on business competitiveness and legal security.

In Rio de Janeiro, the Regional Accounting Council of Rio de Janeiro (CRCRJ) held the 12th edition of the Consumption Tax Reform course, focusing specifically on financial services. Conducted by auditors from the Federal Revenue of Brazil (RFB), the training aimed to equip professionals to lead the implementation of the new national tax regime. Officials noted that the reform is expected to improve the tax system, reduce costs, and eliminate distortions to enhance Brazil's competitiveness.
