Brazil advances defense industry through diplomacy and new military deliveries

The Brazilian defense industry is seeing increased engagement through strategic initiatives and domestic procurement. The Brazilian Defense Day Embaixadas 2026, held in Brasília, brought together companies from the national Defense and Security Industrial Base with foreign ambassadors, diplomats, and military attachés. Promoted by the Ministry of Defense and coordinated by ABIMDE in partnership with ApexBrasil, the event aimed to showcase Brazilian technologies and expand dialogue with international markets.

In a separate development, SIATT delivered the second batch of the MAX 1.2 AC anti-tank system to the Brazilian Army. Received by the Army Logistics Command in Formosa, Goiás, this shipment follows the first production batch delivered in May. The MAX 1.2 AC is a surface-to-surface guided missile designed to engage armored vehicles and fortifications using Laser Beam Rider technology. The system features a range exceeding 3,000 meters and was developed through a partnership between national industry and the Army Technological Center.
