Brazil advances digital citizenship for seniors with e‑Title accessibility push
Brazil is working to make its digital public services more accessible for citizens over 50, a group that must adapt to rapid technological change. A recent interview with former São Paulo regional electoral court president Paulo Galizia highlighted the shift from paper documents to online platforms such as the e‑Title ID app, Gov.br, banking apps, and Social Security services.
Juventude Reversa, a social‑enterprise startup, is developing a methodology to evaluate how older users experience these digital tools. Its pilot study of the e‑Title app aims to identify barriers, understand difficulties and guide improvements so that seniors can use the services autonomously, turning digital inclusion into a matter of citizenship rather than merely technology.
