Brazil advances next-generation TV 3.0 broadcasting technology

Brazil is advancing its transition to next-generation television standards, known as TV 3.0 or DTV+. TV Globo has selected Triveni Digital to support its implementation through specialized transmission chains and monitoring solutions. The broadcaster will utilize tools such as the GuideBuilder XM and StreamScope XM Analyzer to facilitate live coverage of upcoming international football tournaments in Brazil.

In a related development at SET Expo in São Paulo, Telos Alliance’s Jünger Audio brand, in collaboration with Fraunhofer IIS and other industry partners, is demonstrating a cloud-based, DTV+-compliant workflow. This end-to-end demonstration includes MPEG-H Audio contribution into the cloud, aiming to showcase scalable and interoperable workflows for immersive and personalized audio experiences in broadcasting.
