Brazil advances stadium lighting and renovation projects in Barrocas and Belém

In Barrocas, Brazil, two metal towers for a new LED lighting system were hoisted at the Municipal Stadium on the morning of July 19. Work was halted when rain made the operation unsafe; the stadium manager Marcelo Sales said, “Estava muito perigoso. Nós decidimos parar para evitar risco de acidente,” and the team plans to resume the installation on the following morning if conditions improve.

In Belém, the Clube do Remo board began a revitalisation of the Baenão stadium on July 20, painting the entire façade and upgrading the Núcleo de Saúde e Performance (Nasp). The upgrades aim to modernise the historic venue, improve medical and training facilities for players, and preserve a key piece of the region’s football heritage.
