Brazil agribusiness investment funds reach R$ 73 billion

Agribusiness Investment Funds (Fiagros) reached a net equity of R$ 73 billion with 301 funds in operation as of September, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock. These funds connect investment markets to the needs of the agricultural sector by providing capital for production, storage, transport, and grain commercialization.

As the 2026/27 season approaches, the National Supply Company (Conab) estimates a record harvest of 367.1 million tons, a 1.4% increase over the previous cycle. Fiagros offer alternatives to traditional bank lines through instruments such as Rural Product Notes (CPRs) and Agribusiness Receivables Certificates (CRAs). However, access to these funds remains subject to credit analysis, including repayment capacity, guarantees, and financing costs.
