Santa Catarina launches SC Rural 2 support for farmers and fishers

The Santa Catarina State Secretariat of Agriculture and Livestock (Sape) has opened the first selection stage for the SC Rural 2 program. Through Public Call Notice No. 01/2026, farmers, artisanal fishers, and members of traditional communities in the state can submit proposals for support until October 24, 2026.

In this initial phase, R$ 21.9 million in direct support will be made available across the state, subject to a counterpart contribution from the beneficiaries. The program is part of a larger initiative that is expected to allocate approximately R$ 420 million in non-reimbursable resources by the end of its execution.

Eligible projects must aim to improve productive activities and the living conditions of rural and fishing families. Supported areas include environmental sustainability, innovation, connectivity, information technology, and electrical infrastructure. Agriculture Secretary Admir Dalla Cort stated that the program allows producers to invest according to their specific needs, whether to improve production or incorporate new technologies.
