Brazil and Argentina complete Arandú military exercise
The armies of Brazil and Argentina have concluded the Arandú Combined Exercise, a week-long military operation held in the Rio Grande do Sul region of Brazil. The exercise involved approximately 2,800 military personnel, including 400 from Argentina, and utilized more than 600 vehicles.
Key activities included armored maneuvers, paratrooper jumps, special forces operations, and live-fire drills. The Argentine deployment involved complex logistics, including the rail transport of TAM 2C-A2 tanks, Stryker 8x8 armored vehicles, and Oshkosh tactical trucks from Argentina to Brazil.
The training took place primarily at the Barão de São Borja Training Ground in Rosário do Sul, as well as in Santa Maria and Faxinal do Soturno. This exercise marks the live simulation phase of the 2024–2026 Arandú cycle, which aims to strengthen interoperability, doctrinal exchange, and integration between the two land forces.
