Brazil and Portugal promote mental‑health access and workplace well‑being initiatives

In Curitiba, Brazil, state deputy Alexandre Goura (PDT) opened the IV Jornada de Saúde Mental, highlighting the need for broader access to public mental‑health services such as CAPS, RAPs and the SUS. He stressed the importance of green spaces, quality nutrition, inclusive cities, and solidary economy projects, noting that parliamentary amendments totalling R$ 200 million for 2023‑2025 have been allocated to support the Libersol network.

In Setúbal, Portugal, the Authority for Working Conditions (ACT) held a seminar titled “Guarantee Healthy Work Environments and Psychosocial Well‑Being” at Cinema Charlot. The event, moved to a larger venue due to high demand, featured local officials and experts discussing European approaches to worker care, best practices, and challenges in fostering psychosocial health at work.

Both events underline growing attention to mental‑health and well‑being in public policy and workplace settings in their respective countries.
