Brazil announces public job contests in Pará's Abaetetuba and Tocantins health sector

The municipality of Abaetetuba in Pará has opened a public tender covering a wide range of positions at elementary, technical and higher education levels. Organized by the Instituto Vicente Nelson (IVIN), the contest offers roles in administration, agriculture, social assistance, education, health, finance, environment and public works. Applications are accepted online from 10 August to 10 September 2026, with fees of R$80 for basic and technical posts and R$100 for higher‑level posts. Selected candidates will undergo objective exams in October and November, followed by title evaluations and other assessments.

Separately, the Government of the state of Tocantins has published a health‑sector public tender offering 5,124 vacancies. The competition, managed by the Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV), targets technical nursing staff (1,895 positions), nurses (950), doctors (873) and specialist roles, including 80 obstetric nursing spots. Registration runs the same 10 August‑10 September 2026 window, with fee exemptions available for eligible applicants. The objective exam is scheduled for 1 November 2026, and final results are expected in February 2027.
