Brazil's CADE to examine Keeta's anti‑competitive clauses in food‑delivery contracts

Keeta Delivery Brazil says contract clauses that ban rival platforms from restaurant partnerships threaten fair competition in the country's food‑delivery sector. The company alleges that 99Food is excluded from contracts with restaurants that work with Keeta, limiting choice for eateries, couriers and consumers.

The antitrust authority, CADE, announced it will vet the clauses in the second half of 2026 to decide whether they constitute an unlawful barrier to competition. Keeta called the clauses “their sole and clear anti‑competitive purpose” and urged regulators to open the market, which could affect a large network of restaurants and delivery workers.
