Brazil authorizes 316 civil service posts for Receita Federal, Central Bank
The Ministry of Management and Innovation in Public Services (MGI) issued two portarias on 3 July authorising a total of 316 new public‑service vacancies. Portaria 5.505 creates 146 positions for the Receita Federal – 30 auditor‑fiscal posts and 116 analyst‑tributary posts – while Portaria 5.508 opens 170 positions for the Banco Central – 100 auditor posts, 50 technical posts and 20 prosecutor posts. Both agencies have six months from the publication date to issue their respective editals, and the editals must allow at least a two‑month interval before the first exam. If the deadlines are not met, the authorisations lapse. The contests are expected to be conducted in 2026‑2027, with the Receita Federal’s edital deadline extending to January 2027 for the first exam.
