Paraná Civil Police report multiple arrests and fraud alerts

The Civil Police of Paraná (PCPR) have conducted several operations involving arrests and public safety warnings. In Cascavel, a 58-year-old man was arrested in flagrante for the sexual abuse of his 10-year-old granddaughter. Authorities also rescued the victim's 15-year-old brother, who had been facing threats after attempting to defend his sister. Police have requested preventive detention for the suspect due to suspicions of an attempted escape to Paraguay.

In other regional incidents, a 40-year-old man was arrested in Congonhinhas for violating protective orders intended to shield his 64-year-old sister. Additionally, in Fazenda Rio Grande, a man was apprehended for qualified theft and resisting arrest after attempting to flee with a household appliance.

Authorities are also issuing widespread warnings regarding various scams. These include the ‘fake lawyer’ scam, where criminals impersonate legal professionals to solicit urgent payments via Pix, and ‘fake banking center’ scams involving fraudulent calls about suspicious transactions. Furthermore, the Ministry of Entrepreneurship has clarified that while the federal government is communicating regarding tax debt forgiveness for individual micro-entrepreneurs (MEI), official communications will not request payments via WhatsApp.
