Brazil automotive market to see electrified vehicles exceed 70% of sales by 2035
The Brazilian automotive market is undergoing a significant transformation driven by electrification, connectivity, and automation. According to the Mobility Now Trends Report, prepared by Accenture, electrified vehicles are projected to account for more than 70% of light vehicle sales in Brazil by 2035.
Beyond electrification, the industry is moving toward a new wave of technological development centered on vehicle autonomy and connectivity. Vehicles are increasingly becoming integrated into digital service ecosystems, offering new value through services such as digital payments for tolls and parking, as well as advanced maintenance solutions.
Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) are also becoming standard features in many new models, including those from manufacturers like BYD, GWM, GAC, and CAOA Changan. These technologies, which include adaptive cruise control and emergency braking, aim to enhance safety and comfort, particularly for professionals who spend significant time commuting in traffic.
