Brazil becomes world's second-largest business aviation market

Brazil has emerged as the second-largest business aviation market in the world, trailing only the United States. According to the aviation regulator ANAC, 2025 was a record-breaking year for the country, with approximately 130 million passengers, including a 13.5 percent increase in international travel. The nation currently maintains a fleet of roughly 1,200 private jets.

Industry growth is driving demand for aircraft management, maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services, as well as ground handling and airport services. However, the sector faces challenges including regional infrastructure gaps, a shortage of qualified pilots and technicians, and limited maintenance capacity.

Looking toward future technology, the Expo eVTOL 2027 event in São Paulo will feature a dedicated area for Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) and electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft. The exhibition will host the new Air Mobility Summit Latam 2027, aiming to connect industry players as certifications for eVTOL technology progress in Brazil, Europe, and the United States.
