Brazil boosts local sports and leisure spaces with new synthetic field and plaza revitalization

A synthetic grass field was inaugurated in the Itapoã Parque neighborhood of Brazil, costing more than R$ 3.3 million and covering about 4,000 m². The facility features European‑style bicolor turf, drainage, high‑security fencing, covered benches and accessible entrances. Governor Celina Leão highlighted the project as a major advance for the area, while Novacap president Fernando Leite praised the rapid construction and announced future amenities such as a plaza, playground and restrooms. The new field is expected to serve roughly 150 families and encourage youth participation in sport.

In Campo Grande, the municipal government began a R$ 279 thousand revitalization of Praça Vila Saraiva. The upgrade includes resurfaced walkways, refurbished poly‑sport courts, fresh paint and other improvements aimed at enhancing safety and comfort for children, seniors and residents. Mayor Adriane Lopes said the investment directly improves community wellbeing and encourages the use of public spaces for recreation and social interaction.
