Brazil caps FGTS disaster withdrawal deadline to June 16‑17, 2026

Workers whose CPF numbers end in any digit (0‑9) and who reside in municipalities officially declared as public calamities can request a one‑time withdrawal of up to R$ 6,220 from their FGTS accounts. The Saque Calamidade program applies only to those with a balance above R$ 6,000 and the deadline for submitting a request is 16 and 17 June 2026. Eligible municipalities include Cravolândia and Igaporã (Bahia), Tuntum (Maranhão), several cities in Minas Gerais such as Araçuaí, Ataléia, Pompéu and Rio Preto, Novo Progresso (Pará), Gilbués (Piauí) and Campos dos Goytacazes (Rio de Janeiro), among others.

Eligibility requires official recognition of the disaster by the local Defesa Civil and municipal approval by Caixa Econômica Federal. Applications are submitted through the FGTS mobile app, where users select “Calamidade pública,” provide address documentation and choose a payment method. Normally a 12‑month interval separates withdrawals for the same worker, but a decree issued in May 2024 waived this rule for municipalities in Rio Grande do Sul that faced consecutive emergencies.
