Brazil celebrates National Theater Day

September 19 marks National Theater Day in Brazil, a date dedicated to honoring the history and impact of performing arts. The celebration recognizes the contributions of artists, playwrights, directors, and technicians who sustain this cultural tradition.

In Teresópolis, the Municipal Secretariat of Culture is marking the occasion with the ‘Teatro em Movimento’ event. This initiative features six free performances at the Municipal Theater, showcasing talent from the Casa de Cultura Adolpho Bloch. The program includes various acts such as ‘Azul da Cor do Mar’, ‘Cena Musical Gran Cabaré I’, and performances by groups like Circo Integrado and Trupe Serra Encena.
