Brazil celebrates World Rock Day with concerts in Cuiabá and Maceió

On Sunday, July 12, the Parque das Águas in Cuiabá will host a free public celebration of World Rock Day organized by Sesi MT and Centro América FM. The lineup includes local acts MP Rock, Heróis de Brinquedo, Prefixo 65 and DJ Cleyton 7, aiming to promote music access and family‑friendly entertainment.

Two days earlier, on Friday, July 10, the Rex Jazz Bar in Maceió will present a psychedelic night as part of the “Trópicos Efervescentes” series. The show features veteran band Mopho, celebrating its 30‑year anniversary and a vinyl pre‑sale, as well as The Baggios, marking the 10‑year anniversary tour of their album “Brutown,” and the indie trio Lugar Algum, performing tracks from their newly released self‑titled album. The events highlight Brazil’s regional rock scene and its cultural significance during World Rock Day.
