Brazil cinema events showcase Aki Kaurismäki and Katseye in August

The Cinesesc cinema in Brazil is running a retrospective of Finnish director Aki Kaurismäki from July 30 through August 12. The program highlights his latest film Folhas de Outono (2023), which won the Cannes Jury Prize and earned two Golden Globe nominations.

In Petrópolis, Cine Show has opened pre‑sale tickets for the special concert‑film Katseye: Wild Hearts, scheduled for August 12 and 15. The production features new footage, intimate interviews with the six members of the global pop girl group Katseye, and fan‑submitted material, serving as a preview for the group’s upcoming EP WILD.
