Brazil launches multiple initiatives for child welfare and social protection

Brazil is seeing a surge in initiatives focused on child welfare, social solidarity, and public policy. The NGO Todos Por Um has launched the Aliança Nacional Pela Infância e Desenvolvimento (ANID) at USP. Supported by institutions like the Ministry of Education and the Labor Public Ministry, ANID aims to monitor child exploitation and promote integral education.

Simultaneously, the Agenda 227 movement, representing over 520 entities, has submitted policy proposals to political candidates to prioritize the rights of children and adolescents. In Porto Alegre, the Fundação O Pão dos Pobres is organizing a large-scale Children's Day event for 500 youth, while local authorities in Apucarana are conducting sweet drives for the same holiday.

On a broader scale, Globo and UNESCO have introduced the Criança Esperança 2026 campaign to mobilize national solidarity. In the private sector, companies are also engaging with seasonal themes; Sem Parar has launched a Halloween-themed insurance campaign featuring actor Ary Fontoura, and various municipal programs, such as those in Cuiabá, report growth in youth sports participation.
