Brazil coffee cooperatives mark 65th anniversary and face slowest harvest since 2018

The Cocatrel cooperative of Minas Gerais celebrated its 65th anniversary, highlighting a network of more than 9,400 members across 125 municipalities, 20 coffee and grain receiving units, 14 agro‑stores and a range of processing facilities. In the 2025/2026 season the cooperative moved over 3.2 million coffee bags and generated revenue of R$ 3.4 billion.

Meanwhile, the Cooxupé cooperative, the world’s largest coffee cooperative, reported that its harvest reached only 38.6% of the expected area by 10 July, the lowest pace for this time of year since 2018. The slowdown was most pronounced in the Cerrado Mineiro region, while the south of Minas showed the highest progress at 45.1%. The lag underscores challenges for Brazil’s coffee supply chain this season.
