Brazil coffee production projected to hit record 67.6 million bags
Brazil is projected to produce a record 67.6 million 60-kilogram bags of coffee in 2026, marking a 19.6% increase over the 2025 harvest. According to the National Supply Company (Conab), this represents the highest production volume in the agency's historical series.
The growth is driven by a positive biennial cycle, particularly for Arabica coffee, which is expected to reach 48.2 million bags—a 34.8% increase. Favorable weather conditions, increased production areas, and improved use of technology and inputs have also contributed to higher productivity.
Minas Gerais remains the leading producer, expected to contribute 35.6 million bags, accounting for over 52% of the national total. In contrast, Conilon (Robusta) production is forecasted to decline by 6.6% to 19.4 million bags due to lower productivity, despite an increase in the area under cultivation.
