Brazil consumer trends show increased planning for Black Friday
Consumer trends in Brazil indicate a shift toward more strategic planning for Black Friday. According to research from Google, approximately 50% of Brazilian consumers intend to make purchases during the event, with 48% already maintaining wish lists and 44% conducting early price research.
The most sought-after product categories include clothing (37%), footwear (31%), mobile phones (30%), and home appliances (29%). Regarding payment preferences, Pix is the leading method at 56%, followed by installment credit cards (52%) and single-payment credit cards (33%).
To avoid common financial pitfalls, experts advise consumers to monitor price histories to ensure discounts are genuine, avoid impulse buying by using pre-defined lists, and factor in shipping costs when comparing total prices. Additionally, checking return policies and managing credit limits are recommended to prevent debt.
