Brazil domestic arson attacks: daughter torches father, ex‑boyfriend burns ex's house

A 28‑year‑old woman in São Paulo's Freguesia do Ó neighbourhood used a portable torch to set her father ablaze during a family dispute on 14 May, leaving him with severe head burns. Police detained the daughter at the scene and transferred the case to the Women's Police Station for investigation.

In a separate incident in Itueta, Minas Gerais, a 19‑year‑old man was arrested after deliberately igniting his former partner's home and threatening the woman and her mother. Local police responded to a fire call and secured the suspect.

Both cases involve domestic violence and arson, resulting in arrests and ongoing investigations by Brazilian authorities.
