Brazil educational programs expand after-school arts and sports initiatives

Educational initiatives in Brazil are utilizing after-school programs to support child development. In Cuiabá, the Full-Time Integral Education Program is set to involve 22 educational units by 2026. These programs offer diverse activities such as music, theater, capoeira, and martial arts. At Emeb Nossa Senhora Aparecida, a Jiu-Jitsu project engages 52 children, aiming to teach values and improve social and academic skills.

In Salvador, the Casa Pia de São Joaquim, a philanthropic institution founded in 1799, has inaugurated a new Arts School. The school provides visual arts, theater, music, and physical education to 200 children aged 2 to 5 during after-school hours. The initiative focuses on early childhood development through artistic expression and creative learning.
