Brazil electoral authorities announce changes to voting locations

Electoral authorities in Brazil have announced changes to several polling locations ahead of the 2026 elections. In Itaboraí, the 151st Electoral Zone of the TRE-RJ reported that multiple sections have been relocated due to security, accessibility, or structural issues. For example, voters previously at Escola Municipal Genésio da Costa Cotrin will now vote at Escola Municipal Professora Marly Cid Almeida de Abreu, while others will move to the Instituto Federal Fluminense (IFF).

In Juazeiro do Norte, four traditional voting units will see address changes for both rounds of the election. The Rotary School will no longer serve as a polling station, with sections 1, 2, and 38 transferring to the Unileão Health Campus. Additionally, the former Social Assistance Secretariat will serve only as a point for justifying absences. Other relocations include transfers to ECIM Doutor Edvard Teixeira Ferrer, the old Municipal Gymnasium, and EEF José Marrocos.

Electoral courts recommend that voters verify their specific section numbers and new addresses in advance via the e-Título app or the official Superior Electoral Court (TSE) website to avoid confusion on election day.
