Brazil electoral landscape shows high undecided voter rates in key states

Brazil's upcoming electoral landscape is characterized by a high number of undecided voters and a competitive race for Senate seats. In Rio Grande do Sul, the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) has officialized 13 candidacies for the Senate, part of a national effort to renew two-thirds of the 81 Senate seats.

Political analysis indicates that five key states—Minas Gerais, São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Espírito Santo, and Rio Grande do Sul—hold the highest concentrations of undecided voters. In Rio Grande do Sul, undecided voters reach 18%, while Minas Gerais and Espírito Santo stand at 17%. These states are considered decisive for the presidential succession, as the number of undecided voters could represent approximately 8.9 million votes, significantly exceeding the margin of victory in the previous presidential election.
