Heated floor systems use electric resistive elements beneath tiles or laminates, consuming about 150‑200 W/m² initially and less than 30 W/m² once the set temperature is reached. Instantaneous electric water heaters are being installed at points of use, offering rapid hot water without the need for dedicated gas lines. Heated towel rails, operating at 35‑40 °C, are also gaining popularity for faster drying and reduced mold risk.

Alongside home solutions, professionals are adjusting their winter wardrobes. Experts recommend layering structured garments made from heavyweight wool or crepe, selecting neutral colours such as black, charcoal or navy for easy coordination. Footwear should be leather or other durable materials with anti‑slip soles, while long coats that fall to the hips or knees provide additional wind protection. Accessories like wool scarves, silk neck pads and dark‑coloured shearling gloves complement the overall polished look while adding extra insulation.
