Brazil emerges as strategic market for Mexican and Chilean fruit exporters

The Brazil Conference & Expo has emerged as a critical platform for connecting producers, distributors, and retailers within the fresh produce, flowers, vegetables, and egg sectors. Industry participants, including brands like Pingo Doce and Grupo Trebeschi, highlight the event as a vital opportunity for networking, market research, and strengthening relationships with national retailers.

During the event, representatives from the International Fresh Produce Association (IFPA) noted that Brazil is becoming a strategic target for fruit exporters from Mexico and Chile. Mexico, the world's third-largest exporter of fresh produce, is seeking to diversify its markets beyond the United States by expanding into Brazil, India, and Asia. Similarly, Chile views the Brazilian market as a significant opportunity for growth within South America, aiming to complement its existing export strengths in cherries, apples, and pears.
