Lucas do Rio Verde pushes housing project, hosts business fair and pioneer‑day tribute
The municipality of Lucas do Rio Verde is moving forward with a new housing scheme that will add 150 low‑cost homes. The project, funded by federal, state and municipal partners, will be built on donated land in the Jardim Primaveras III subdivision, with units sized at least 160 m² and financed through the Minha Casa Minha Vida program.
At the same time, the local Sebrae‑backed Business Fair opened at the Roberto Munaretto Exhibition Park, drawing 82 small‑business entrepreneurs who showcased products, services and a fashion show. Mayor Miguel Vaz highlighted the event as a catalyst for innovation and growth in the city’s agribusiness‑driven economy.
Separately, the city held its second Pioneer‑Day celebration, honoring the women who founded the historic Clube de Mães and contributed to community welfare since the 1980s. Recipients received commemorative plaques, and the event featured live music and student art exhibitions.
