Brazil football delegation visits Dhaka for potential friendly match
A delegation from the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) has visited Dhaka to evaluate the possibility of the Brazil national football team playing a friendly match against Bangladesh in October 2026.
A five-member CBF delegation, led by General Supervisor Sergio Dimas de Oliveira, inspected the National Stadium and Bashundhara Kings Arena, reviewing facilities such as the pitch, dressing rooms, and security measures. The delegation also met with Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) President Tabith Awal and the Brazilian Ambassador to Bangladesh.
The CBF has proposed holding the match on October 5 or 6, following Brazil’s scheduled match against India in Kolkata on October 3. While the visit has generated significant interest due to Brazil’s large fan base in the region, no official confirmation has been made. The BFF must still consider its own schedule, as the proposed dates overlap with the team’s commitments in the FIFA ASEAN Cup.
