Brazil expands international trade reach for small businesses and cooperatives
Brazilian small businesses and agricultural cooperatives are expanding their international presence through major trade events. In France, family farming cooperatives are participating in SIAL Paris for the first time. Led by ApexBrasil, ten cooperatives are showcasing products linked to Brazilian biodiversity and sustainability to global buyers, importers, and distributors.
Simultaneously, in Brazil, the FICCA Goiás fair will host business rounds from October 27 to 29 in Goiânia. The event aims to connect small businesses in sectors such as food, beverages, cosmetics, furniture, and fashion with international buyers, specifically from Latin America. This initiative seeks to address barriers to exporting, such as market access, logistics, and documentation, as small businesses currently account for only 0.18% of Goiás's exports.
