Brazilian universities open senior programs and longevity congress registrations
The University of the Elderly (Univida) at Unoesc Joaçaba announced that enrollment is open for its 2026 second‑semester courses aimed at people aged 55 and older. Classes begin on 12 August, run weekly on Wednesdays from 13:30 to 17:00, and will continue for a year and a half, with graduation slated for late 2027. Registration is accepted until 31 July via WhatsApp (49 3551‑2055) and through the university’s website.
Meanwhile, the Universidade Estadual do Norte Fluminense Darcy Ribeiro (UENF) is accepting submissions for the I Congress Interdisciplinary Regional of Longevity and Human Aging (LongeViver 2026) and the IV Congress on Health, Longevity and Aging (CONASEH). The deadline for abstract submissions is 27 July. The conferences will be held online and in‑person from 29 to 31 July, featuring oral presentations, round‑table discussions, and a musical opening by the UNATI senior‑age student band. Both events are free and open to the public, aiming to strengthen interdisciplinary dialogue on aging, health, and quality of life.
