Minas Gerais expands digital services, innovation awards, community aid and beekeeping program

The Minas Gerais state government released an updated MG App with a modern interface, offering more than 200 public services and reaching over eight million users. The upgrade improves performance, security and adds new usability features.

The 9th Prêmio Inova Minas Gerales deadline was extended to 30 June, inviting public‑sector employees to submit projects that modernise administration, including a new category for automation and artificial‑intelligence solutions.

Weekend service‑squares (Praça de Serviços – Governo Presente) were held in the Morro das Pedras and Vila Cemig neighborhoods of Belo Horizonte, providing free on‑site assistance such as identity‑card issuance, health and public‑safety services.

In São João do Pacuí, the interim governor delivered vehicles for health, education and social‑assistance use, together with more than R$ 1 million in funding for transport.

The state also launched the “Colmeia de Minas” program to strengthen beekeeping, coordinating researchers, public agencies and producers to improve sustainability, traceability and product quality.
