Brazil faces major constitutional and institutional crisis

Brazil is currently facing a major constitutional crisis characterized by the weakening of institutions established in 1988. The crisis involves a breakdown in the relationship between the country's constituent powers, threatening the credibility of the Republic both domestically and internationally.

The Executive branch is described as being captured by specific power projects rather than national state interests, while the Legislative branch is accused of seizing the republican budget through non-transparent and unaccountable parliamentary amendments.

Furthermore, the Judiciary is criticized for assuming an absolute tutelage over national affairs. Recent tensions include public clashes between Supreme Federal Court ministers, investigations involving Banco Master, questions regarding the impartiality of the Prosecutor General, and the controversial removal of the Federal Police command.
