A significant institutional conflict has emerged between the Brazilian Federal Police (PF) and Supreme Federal Court (STF) Minister André Mendonça. In response to the tension, President Lula has requested that Rodrigues meet with Mendonça to de-escalate the situation, with Justice Minister Wellington Silva acting as a mediator.

Simultaneously, President Lula has criticized the PF for leaking details of investigations involving his son to the press. Meanwhile, Mendonça has signaled that he will not make concessions regarding his judicial determinations. STF President Edson Fachin is actively attempting to mediate the impasse to prevent a deeper institutional crisis.
