Brazil family launches fundraiser for larger vehicle to transport therapy equipment
A Brazilian family is seeking financial support to purchase a larger, safer vehicle needed to transport essential medical and rehabilitation equipment for two children with severe disabilities. The six‑year‑old daughter suffers from profound cerebral palsy, epilepsy, and painful muscle spasms, requiring daily rehabilitation to prevent deformities. Her younger sister also has cerebral palsy, a serious heart condition, and intestinal development issues, demanding constant care. The family currently uses a small car that cannot accommodate two rehabilitation chairs, vertical supports, and other necessary gear, making each trip physically and psychologically exhausting.
The family created a campaign on the Donio crowdfunding platform, aiming to raise enough money to buy a spacious vehicle. If the target is not met, the funds will serve as a down payment for a used car; any surplus will be directed toward intensive neuro‑rehabilitation and specialized therapies not covered by their health plan.
