Flávio Dino orders Federal Police to probe R$55 million emendas Pix irregularities
Minister of the Supreme Federal Court Flávio Dino sent the Tribunal de Contas da União (TCU) report to Federal Police (PF) director‑general Andrei Rodrigues, ordering an investigation of possible crimes linked to the so‑called “emendas Pix”. The TCU audit examined 100 special transfers – known as emendas Pix – amounting to R$198.1 million directed to 74 states and municipalities between 2020 and 2024. It identified up to R$55.4 million in potential damage, including R$26.3 million from lack of traceability, R$14.9 million from undocumented expenses, and R$14.1 million from incomplete works or overpricing.
Dino instructed the PF to attach any relevant findings to existing investigations or to open new ones, giving priority to cases where the audit already showed direct loss to the treasury. He also set a ten‑day deadline for the Ministry of Management and Innovation to improve the Transferegov system and to adopt standardized accounting codes from 2027. Among the transfers under scrutiny is a R$6.2 million emenda by deputy Alfredo Gaspar – a vice‑presidential candidate on the Flávio Bolsonaro ticket – to the municipality of São José da Laje, Alagoas.
