Brazil Federal Police investigate Lulinha in lobbying probe

The Brazilian Federal Police (PF) have intercepted messages involving Fábio Luís da Silva, known as Lulinha, the son of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva. The communications involve lobbyist Roberta Luchsinger, who is under investigation for suspected influence peddling and using her proximity to the president's son to facilitate government access and business deals.

Investigators revealed dialogues where Luchsinger and Lulinha discussed business and lobbying activities. In one intercepted exchange from March 2024, Luchsinger suggested their “future is Switzerland.” The messages also indicate Lulinha's involvement in meetings with former chief of staff Marco Aurélio Santana Ribeiro and other officials.

The investigation further links these activities to Antonio Carlos Camilo Antunes, known as “Careca do INSS,” who allegedly attempted to secure a million-dollar contract for medicinal cannabis through the Ministry of Health. Records show Luchsinger received R$ 1.5 million from Antunes, including a transfer described as being for the “son of the boy,” which investigators believe refers to Lulinha.
